National Commission on Higher Education
The NCHE was established in 1989 by an Act of the National Legislature. It serves as the statutory regulatory and accreditation authority for all post-secondary institutions in Liberia—overseeing institutions offering certificates, diplomas, associate, bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees
The mission of the NCHE is to formulate and implement policy guidelines for the establishment of institution of higher education in Liberia through monitoring and evaluation. Through this mission, we aim to address public needs with professionalism and dedication.
The vision of the NCHE is “accessing quality education in Liberia.” This vision reflects our commitment to long-term improvements of the quality and relevant of higher education across Liberia.
